Hello… My name is Macreen Molenta Akinyi a lovely young lady of 22 years of age , height 5″9, fine melanin in color, eye and hair black in color.
I come from a small beautiful town known as Kendu bay, in Homa bay County, Kenya. I live with a family of 10, with both both parents and 7 siblings, six sisters and only one brother and I’m the the third born in the family.
I am a finalist student pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Religion in Egerton university, Nakuru county Kenya. I love appreciating nature and the whole ecosystem that makes me love my profession.
Traveling, adventure and watching documentaries is my hobby. I love traveling to new places within our country appreciating my motherland with it’s beautiful serenity and nature. I’ve visited Mt Longonot, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Lake Elementaita, Olduvai Gorge, Maasai Mara national park, Lake Bogoria, Kisumu national museum, Kisumu national airways, Homa Hills, Menengai creator just to mention a few. I love watching documentaries about snakes and birds.
As a model I can say I got interests after my secondary education in 2019. Â I used to admire my younger sister watching fashion show programs on TV and her training to walk on heels and I decided to take a shot at it too.
I learnt that walking in heels was giving me some confidence in public and that motivated me to join modeling training classes. Â My first classes were at Big 5 social hall when I was going for Mr and Miss Kendu title. My first trainer was former Mr Kendu who helped me get the basics in modeling. I emerged position 4 and that really encouraged me since it was my first runway ever.
My second runway was Miss “O” town. The challenges I went through during that competition was a lot of biasness and I almost lost interest in modeling.
I don’t know what motivated me back again in the industry to contest for Mr and Miss Royalty Ahero town and I was crowned as 1st runner’s up.
I went back for Mr and Miss Kendu title and I got the 1st runners up title.
Last year I decided to take up the challenge and contest for Mr and Miss Egerton university. The competition was stiff but I managed the 1st runners up title which I’m still reigning with upto date. Hoping I’ll get the queen’s crown this year during the Mr and Miss Egerton university competition.
Currently, I’m training with Tygon modeling agency the only modeling agency in our university where I’m serving as the vice chair person. I’ve been training here for close to two years now. So far I can say I’ve seen my growth as a model and also in interacting with other people and acknowledging the diversity of the human race.
I came to learn about the Miss International Africa competition through a message forwarded by our Models Agency’s CEO,in our social media walls and I decided to take a shot at it. Â I decided to join the competition since I saw it as a good platform to explore my infinite potential, exposure and also to grow and gain more experience in beauty peagentry not mentioning, who won’t love to be crowned as the next Miss MIA kenya?
I believe I should be chosen as Miss MIA Kenya because I embody the cultural diversity, resilience, and beauty of our nation. Growing up in Kenya, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs of our people, and I am passionate about advocating for positive change in our communities. As Miss MIA Kenya, I would be honored to represent our country on the international stage, promoting Kenya’s rich heritage and values of unity and progress. I believe my unique perspective and dedication to service make me an ideal candidate to showcase Kenya’s beauty and potential to the world. I am committed to using this platform to inspire others and make a meaningful impact globally.
During my leisure time, I engage myself in Tree planting aimed at improving forest cover hence boosting our ecosystem.
If given the honor of the Miss MIA Kenya title, I would promote the crown and the title through a multifaceted approach aimed at maximizing its impact and visibility. Firstly, I would leverage social media platforms to share my journey, experiences, and advocacy efforts, engaging with a wide audience both locally and internationally. Additionally, I would collaborate with local organizations and community leaders to organize events, workshops, and campaigns focused on issues such as education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, I would use traditional media channels such as television, radio, and print to amplify my message and reach audiences beyond the digital realm. By consistently embodying the values of the crown and actively participating in initiatives that uplift our communities, I aim to inspire others to join me in making a positive difference in Kenya and beyond.
In a special way, I want to acknowledge the good  work done by Star girls Empire modeling agency and Vota app for making this happen. God bless you
